Cleaning the Enema Bucket
Equipment:
- Liquid Soap
- 3% Hydrogen Peroxide
- Paper Towels
Procedure:
- Rinse bucket and tubing with hot
water.
- Wash tubing with liquid soap.
- Wash bucket with hot soapy water
and let drain through tube into sink.
- Rinse bucket and tube with hot
water.
- Pour approximately ½ inch of 3%
hydrogen peroxide into bucket and run through end of tube and stop with your
fingers. Coil tube in the
bottom of the enema bucket with the hydrogen peroxide.
This will disinfect the tube inside and out in the bucket.
- Before doing next enema, rinse
out bucket and tubing with hot water.
- Improper cleaning of your enema
bucket can lead to bacteria build up which can lead to diarrhea.
- Improper cleaning of the
bathroom surfaces that you touch during your enema can lead to bacteria
contamination problems, which can lead to diarrhea.
Be clean, be safe. If
you touched it, clean it.
- Benefect

bathroom surfaces.
